Finally, things are starting to get better.  I have an interview tomorrow, which, if I get the job, will let me get a new camera and start up my crafting, with some fun tutorials and maybe even a giveaway.

Wow, I haven't posted in a while.  Things have been kinda crazy.  I'm looking for a new job, again, and summer has hit Ontario so it's humid and pollenated outside.  I'm wishing we still had our pool and backyard in Racine, I'm still not quite used to not having a yard anymore.

Oh well. Anyways, I am almost done my newest piece of embroidery.  It's my leopard gecko, Nubs, and he is part of a quilt that is going to my former sensei for her new baby.  My mom and I have been working on it together.

Not much else is going on.  I'll post some pictures of embroidery-Nubs when he is done.

Well, the first week of work went well. The only downside is having to wear heels all day, it kills my knees and feet.  Oh well, I'm getting paid.

Other than work life has been pretty good.  Today is my day off so I got to sleep in and then play some Modern Warfare with my dad. I might go out a bit later, just wander downtown or something. Boredom, yay!

So, I start work tomorrow.

I hope it goes well. I've never worked clothing retail before, so it's going to be a bit new at first.  I'm sure I'll get it.  I'm quite happy I have the job though, I can start apartment hunting in a few months and I'll be able to start crafting again.  I have a whole whack of projects just itching to be done, and now I'l have money for things like fabric.

Hurray!

A long day today, but a good one. I was helping out at the pet store near my house all day. I got to set up terrariums and such, one of my favourite things to do.  Now I am exhausted and going to bed. Goodnight!

A turn for the better, it seems.

After coming home from college I was starting to feel like I was never going to find a job.  I had been handing out as many resumes as I could, as well as calling and e-mailing every possible opening I could find.  I need to pay off my debts and start putting money back into savings, not to mention moving out of my parents house and figuring out just what it is I want to do.  A career in Veterinary Science doesn't seem to be the path I'd like to take.  I thought it was, but I've realized that I'd rather take care of my own animals and help my friends with theirs as opposed making a lifetime out of it.

More and more lately I've been feeling creative. Not just crafty, I mean I'm always up for a little project here or there but I feel like I want to really create something. I've finished two lovely embroidery projects in the past few months and I started an oil painting last night.  Fashion seems to be what I'm lusting for though. I want to make myself some clothes. A skirt, tackle a mens dress shirt, maybe some pants.

I just got a new job today though, I got the callback that I have been waiting for so it seems like I'll be a bit busier now.  I'm happy i got the job where I did- I'll be working at a clothing store so I can at least create wonderful outfits for people.  That's the best part about helping people find the right clothes, or makeup, anything really, is how good they feel afterwards.

Quite looking forward to this new year now.
